Where Are The Tastemakers Now? Interview With Magalie Rene

This interview is a part of the Where Are The Black Tastemaker's Now? Series. I connected with Magalie Rene about the importance of self care in a time of pain and suffering.. We all need tools protect our mental health to heal, grieve, and focus on strategies to move forward with allies.

I launched The Moodboard Podcast to continue the discussions around race, culture, and interior design all year long. Listen to a conversation I had with business strategist and author Magalie Rene about the importance of  self care during a time of so much uncertainty.

Magalie René is a Business Strategist, Speaker, Corporate Facilitator, and Bestselling Author of the book, Kid-Smart Spaces: Decorating a Classroom That Changes Lives. With a 13-year career in public relations, marketing and philanthropy, she has worked with companies like Heineken, HGTV, Fidelity Investments, New York Life Insurance, and The Ford Foundation, among others.  More recently, Magalie has delivered team-building and leadership workshops for Live Nation, California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech), and Kaiser Permanente.

As the founder of “Find Your Shine,” she hosts transformational events and courses for entrepreneurs and business leaders, inspiring them to conquer fear and share their message.  Magalie is a contributor to Mind Body Green and has been featured in Dr. Oz The Good Life Magazine, Goalcast, Good Housekeeping Magazine and more.

When she’s not speaking, writing, or coaching you can find the native Brooklynite on a walk in her cities of residence (Los Angeles and Palm Springs) with her dog, Prince.
