I am officially kicking off the fall season with my latest podcast interview with Danielle Blundell, the Home Director for Apartment Therapy. Ever since I was in my early twenties, and I got my first apartment in Brooklyn, the AT blog was my interior design Bible. Ever year I remember agonizing over images from the Smallest Coolest Contest, and studying how could I maximize every square inch of my apartment. In that little space I had a full size bed, a leaning desk, and a 65” sofa and media unit. So when I got picked to be one of the twenty designers for the Small/Cool experience for Apartment Therapy it was a dream come true.
I hope you enjoy my talk with Danielle where we discuss her editorial journey into the interior design industry. Plus, in connection to the Black Lives Matter Movement, what is Apartment Therapy doing in front of and behind the lens to create more diversity?

This week’s Interior Design Game is Name That Trend. Since Danielle is a guru at trend forecasting, I gave her word descriptions from a popular trend article she wrote that I have used on this show with other guests. She had to guess that trend with rapid fire responses. Shop the conversation with the mood board I designed below:
